Why I wrote this book

I didn’t begin my career in marketing.  I began as an engineer.

After graduating in Mechanical Engineering, I worked for a robotics company developing snake-like robotic arms. The technology was incredible.

But there was a problem.

No one knew we existed.

Our potential customers didn’t understand what our robots could do or why they should care.

Someone needed to explain it.

That’s how I ended up in marketing.

And what I discovered surprised me.

Bad marketing really is creative fluff. But good marketing looks remarkably like engineering.

This book has significantly exceeded my expectations. I now need to work my way through it step by step with a pad of A4, and put it into practise - but I have a good feeling that this is the approach that will yield the results I am looking for.
